Sarantel Group PLC, (AIM: SLG 'Sarantel') announce first production orders from Algodue Elettronica for Geopoint portable GPS Tracker
Sarantel Group PLC, (AIM: SLG, ‘Sarantel’), a leading manufacturer of high-performance, miniature filtering antennas for mobile and wireless devices, announces the receipt of first production for its GeoHelix® active GPS antenna which is integrated into the Algodue Elettronica Geopoint portable GPS Tracker.
The Geopoint device is ideal for the tracking and safety of people or assets. It has the ability to send position details automatically or on request to a mobile phone, internet connected PC or another Geopoint tracker. The Geopoint tracker can also be used to guide the user to a specific destination and using the MyTrack software allow analyse of tracking coordinates stored on the device.
“We are delighted to announce this design win with Algodue, where our active antenna has dramatically simplified the integration of GPS into a small, battery operated device, which provides robust near body performance in this safety critical applications,” said David Wither, CEO of Sarantel.
“The Sarantel antenna has given us the ability to design one small device which meets the performance requirements of the multiple uses of the Geopoint tracker,” said Giorgio Manfredi, R&D Project Engineer.
